As people walked through, they tracked salt in from the sidewalk. After two weeks, I pulled up the masking tape and the salt left behind left evidence of how people moved through the space.

I use his titles as a set of rules; open to interpretation and variable. I want to reclaim the radicality of his conceptual practice by responding freely to the language of his rules and the architecture of each particular site. This series is both an homage to his work and a resistance to the way that his wall drawings have become commodified and executed aesthetically.
